Why study at IRIC

Since its inception in 2003, IRIC has been actively involved in training the next generation of scientists. The Institute welcomes MSc. or Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows, as well as undergraduate or graduate trainees who wish to learn in an ultramodern research environment designed to foster collaboration among researchers. IRIC’s multidisciplinary approach enables students with diverse interests to find their place among one of our research teams dedicated to cancer research.

Currently, IRIC brings together nearly 180 young scientists from around the world, with backgrounds in various scientific fields of study. Thanks to the wide-ranging expertise of IRIC’s principal investigators and their affiliation to the various departments of the Université de Montréal, students have the opportunity to access the institute through various curricula, like the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in Systems Biology. Having been developed by our researchers, the training programs in Systems Biology integrate the various core facilities available at the Institute and fit perfectly with the multidisciplinary and collaborative approach put forward at IRIC.
