Canadian students and permanent residents who are pursuing graduate studies at IRIC are automatically enrolled in the health and dental care plan of the Fédération des associations étudiantes du campus de l’Université de Montréal (FAECUM). They also have the opportunity to enroll their spouse and children at an additional cost.
International graduate students are also automatically enrolled in a health care plan. Participation in the health care plan is mandatory and its cost is added to tuition fees. The plan covers medical and hospital expenses as well prescription drugs. The plan also covers for repatriation in the event of death or disability. However, it does not cover dental care. The FAECUM offers an optional dental plan. The premium is about $120 per year and is added to tuition fees.
