Research topic and relevance
Sylvie Mader and her team aim to identify novel therapeutic targets and design new drugs for breast cancer treatment. In particular, her team is studying nuclear receptor signaling pathways, which are attractive targets for drug development.
Her group has developed collaborations with clinician scientists, including Dr. André Robidoux at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal, to exploit basic research results in order to improve the efficacy of existing treatments and design new therapeutic approaches.
